| USM Haller provides an opportunity to reorder
the universe with a comprehensive modular system of chrome
tubes and metal panels.

For the last fifty years, USM has provided a stream of solutions utilizing this mostly unchanged program of expansion bolts, connector balls, tubes and
steel panels.
The basic foundation of chrome tubes, balls and steel panels, combined with the best filing mechanism ever produced, metal doors, glass doors, glass shelving, drawers and various operating mechanisms enables USM to deliver a multitude of configurations for evolving needs comprised of virtually indestructible components.
No other design has begun to match the versatility, elegance, and strength of USM Haller.
 Developed
in the early 1960s, Haller has become a staple in both contract and
residential environments throughout Europe and Japan.
  Fritz
Haller, a Swiss architect, developed the USM modular system. Trained by Gropius, the famed Bauhaus architect and teacher,
Haller carried on the Bauhuas commitment to stripping away from design extraneous matter and reducing its forms to their
functional beauty.
Haller developed this modular system of tubes and panels in concert with
the industrial and residential buildings that he designed through the end of the 20th century.
Haller's visionary design has withstood the test of time and fostered an
unrivaled reputation among architects and professionals.
At modern artifacts we are proud to continue the 15 years of carrying this line and offer USM Haller to a
growing audience of clients fed up with crumbling particle board and
faded fancies predictably gathered in dumpsters bulging with our bad choices.
As we point out on our home page: Interiors reflect our relationship with the natural world. For those who consider their interior space an extension of an environment now in need of serious attention, there simply is no substitute.
